Fireman Sam: Hero Next Door

A great way to get children thinking about fire safety - best followed by a parent-child discussion
Fireman Sam: Hero Next Door is a full-screen children's DVD continuing the hit adventures of Fireman Sam and his firefighting crew. Together they learn that safety comes first when dealing with fire, which is one of the most dangerous things there is! The five colorful, computer-animated episodes are "A Real Live Wire", "Twist of Fate", "The Case of the Licorice Shoelaces", "Carnival of Junk", and "Joker Soaker", with a bonus "Roary the Racing Car" episode "Roary Sees Red". A wonderful addition to public library children's DVD shelves, and also an excellent gift for young children. Fireman Sam: Hero Next Door is a great way to get children thinking about fire safety - best followed by a parent-child discussion about do's and don'ts when dealing with fire, and what to do in the case that a fire breaks out in one's home. 45 minutes, English and French languages, closed-captioned.

my toddler loves it!
We bought it before we took a long trip. Our toddler loves it. However, it is not what you see on PBC Sprout channel. The characters look different. Some of them do not exist in the TV version. There are some new characters in this DVD. It took several minutes for our toddler to figure it what we were watching! After that we did not have any problem.

In this DVD twins James and Sarah do not have any parents. Elvis does not sing. There is no Radar dog.

In this DVD there is Dusty dog. There is Bella, an italian lady, who owns an italian cafe. Bella has a cat named Rosa.

I just wished that they kept characters look the same and didn't change them in all seasons.

If you have time then check other seasons on youtube and you will understand what I am talking about.

Adorable Show!
I wish that this show was more popular in the U.S. My little boys love it!

8 Simple Rules: The Complete Second Season

8 Simple Rules--RULES, part two
John Ritter passed away after only three episodes of season 2. The series proceeded with a two part episode in which his character, Paul Hennessy, also died. The episode is very sad but is a fitting tribute to the great John Ritter. One can see the tears are real, they're not really acting; A testament to just how well loved he was by his castmates and everyone he met. Afterwards, the Hennessy's once again go about the business of making people laugh. It isn't the same without John Ritter. But, the addition of James Garner and David Spade to the regulars Katey Sagal,(Cate), Kaley Cuoco,(Bridget), Amy Davidson,(Kerry), and Martin Spanjers,(Rory), helps to fill the void. As a fan, I highly recommend season 2.

Great collection
8 Simple Rules is a popular Family Sitcom that begun in 2002. Season 2 Episodes are as follows:

1) Premiere
2) Sex Ed
3) Donny Goes AWOL
4) Goodbye: Part 1

6) No Right Way
7) What Dad Would Want
8) The First Thanksgiving
9) Merry Christmas: The Story of Anne Frank & Skeevy
10) YMCA
11) Get Real
12) Consequences
13) Opposites Attract: Part 1
14) Opposites Attract: Part 2
15) Opposites Attract: Part 3 - Night of the Locust
16) Daddy's Girl
17) Mall in the Family
18) Let's Keep Going: Part 1
19) Let's Keep Going: Part 2
20) C. J.'s Party
21) Mother's Day
22) The Principal
23) Final Part Un
24) Final Part Deux

John Ritter stars in the first three episodes of Season 2. Katey Sagal sing's in episode 16 "Daddy's Girl."

Thank you

A rarity; a show loses its lead male figure by death but adapts and incorporates it.
John Ritter was one heck of an actor, and his death was too premature. Rest in peace to a wonderful man, but his performances will live on forever.

The first season of "8 Simple Rules" makes it a fantastic family show, and with the second, I thought ABC would drop it because of John's death.

Much to my surprise, they incorporated John's death INTO the show, rather than just ending it. Whether they thought the show could go on, or felt it was time for a sitcom/drama to present death in a real light, I don't know. Except they did, kept a straight face, and re-tooled the show, and the excellence remains...

After a period of mourning, for which those episodes do not have a laugh track, they continued and brought in veteran actor James Garner, who proved to be an instant hit with the audience. His presence adds a new chemistry, which clearly works.

Then they added David Space, a move that surprised me, who turns out a BRILLIANT performance to...

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Season 7, Pt. 1 - The Leonardo Slice

The 25th Anniversary of TMNT
THE SHOW

The seventh season of this series aired in the second half of 1993. It is notable for a number of reasons, the most obvious being that it marked the end of an era in terms of the overall tone and look of the show. Starting with the show's eighth season, which aired the following year, nearly all the hallmarks of the show - all the touchstones that made the series what it was - would be gone. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Let us break down the seventh season of the show.

The first 13 episodes of the seventh season are what fans have dubbed the "European Vacation" shows. These episodes have always been a bit of a mystery among fans, if only because, in some aspects of the story, they seem to be out of place in the seventh season. During the first episode of the fourth season, the Turtles find out that they have won a vacation to Europe. So, it would stand to reason that the first leg of season four would be the Turtles' adventures traveling...

The Seventh Slice: Part 1
For the 25th Anniversary of TMNT, LionsGate released Season 7 in four part DVDs.

Season 7 Part 1 Episodes are:

Tower of Power
Rust Never Sleeps
A Real Snow Job
Venice on the Half Shell
Artless
The Lost Queen of Atlantis

These episodes are part of the side-season when the turtles went to Europe. The special feature is A Shellabration With Points of Articulation: A Look Back at the Most Turtleastic Toys.

I only bought the season in four parts so I could get the the miniature TMNT toys. I recommend others to buy the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Complete Season 7 Set.

*FYI:figures are miniatures,not full-size original figure replicas
I was at a big box store and saw these season 7 "slices", I remembered seeing them on Amazon first and thinking "oh cool, they come with an OG-style toy too!"--NOT exactly. I looked at the packaging and saw this micro-figure that has the weapons permanently attatched to it's hands. Sooo...I give these season 7s 4/5 stars because although the included figures are kinda lame, at least more seasons of old TMNT are still being released.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Season 7, Pt. 4 - The Raphael Slice

Night of the Rogues
Revenge of the Fly
Dirk Savages: Mutant Hunter!
Combat Land
Atlantis Awakens
Invasion of the Krangazoids
Shredder Triumphant!

I only bought the season in four parts so I could get the the miniature TMNT toys. I recommend others to buy the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Complete Season 7 Set.

Ninja Pizza
Good for any hardcore TMNT fan such as myself, because of the collector boxes and mini figures. But now they have released it in a simple box instead of these 4 different ones that are at way more the price than just the one set of season 7 that they have just come out with. Basically if you are a hardcore TMNT fan, and you want your collection simply to look good and pay some more, then this is for you, if not, save money, time, and shelf space and buy the simple season 7 one that isn't in 4 huge boxes.

Shaun the Sheep: Sheep on the Loose

Finally, all the secrets behind bringing the barnyard gang to life!
Young and young-at-heart fans of "Shaun the Sheep" are going to love the newest adventures of the little sheep and his friends. With six features, each six minutes long, "Sheep on the Loose" is shorter that the others in the series, but it makes up for it in leaps and bounds with the ten additional minutes (not listed) of great, never before seen bonus features on the making of Shaun.

The adventures include:

* Sheep on the Loose - Shaun tries to keep the farmer from finding out his whole herd has disappeared after hitching a ride to the town fair.
* Saturday Night Shaun - an old record player and disco music are an invitation for party time at the barn.
* Tidy Up - It's cleaning day at the farm. Shaun and the gang have a run in with THE most powerful vacuum cleaner ever.
* Shaun the Farmer - Farmer's sick and his dog is taking care of him and must delegate. Or so he says. See what happens when Shaun takes over the chores at the farm.
* Camping...

Humorous shorts -- a bit short changed on the content, though
I love the Shaun the Sheep shorts and the shorts on this DVD are as good as the previous 2 DVDs. Note, however, that unlike the first two DVDs, this DVD only has 6 episodes and not 8. I hope that this isn't a new trend for these DVDs.

The episodes on this DVD are: Sheep on the Loose, Saturday Night Shaun, Tidy Up, Shaun the Farmer, Camping Chaos, and If You Can't Stand the Heat. There are also a couple of features: The Mini Making of Shaun (a quickie look at how an episode is made) and Building a Pig (sort of a demonstration of how to build a model of one of the pigs using plasticine).

I wish that the series had been released as a complete set in the US (as it was elsewhere).

They're baaa-ack!
Shaun the Sheep is perfect for children of any age. The stories are interesting, and there is always a good message.

I've shown this DVD to kids from three to sixty-three, and all enjoyed it thoroughly.

I highly recommend that you add the entire Shaun the Sheep collection to your private DVD library.

In service,

Rich

Sing & Dance With Barney

Full of Singing and Dancing
My one year old daughter loves this Barney video more so than the other Barney videos we have. This video is a delight to watch because it has beautiful props, costumes, and backgrounds. My daughter enjoys all the familiar Barney songs and the video keeps her attention from beginning to end because there isn't much of a "lull" between songs. It is one song and dance after another. I enjoyed seeing the "reunion" of old cast members with the new cast members. This video is more of an entertainment video than it is an instructional one. We watch it everyday after breakfast! My husband and I catch ourselves singing Barney tunes throughout the day!

By far the best Barney video there is!
My baby loves this video. She is not the type to sit still and watch anything, except the active Wiggles, but this tape she claps and kicks her legs to in delight. She is 13 months old. She loves all the songs. There is not one bad song in this video. I have seen several other Barney videos and none of them compare. This one is full of non-stop singing and dancing. Also the production is supurb compared to all the others. It is movie quality and the children in it don't look like they are acting, like in all the other Barney videos. They look like they are truly enjoying the 10th Anniversary sing along. It is full of bright colors and activities that follow the songs. Like "Grampa's Farm" is sung at a real farm. And "Green Grass Grows Around" is sung while camping at a real campground! Plus there is storybook land with candy, castles and magic. My baby adores this video and although I have never been a Barney fan, I find myself singing all these songs to her and...

A GREAT AND FUN VIDEO!
My just turned 3 year old daughter and I LOVED this video! It's full of our favorite songs and the current kids are fun to watch. What I liked best about it though was seeing the old kids again. They are all grown up and it was such fun to see and hear them again! My favorite part was seeing "Kathy" sing 'Me and My Teddy' with little "Linda". All Barney fans will love it.
